empowering girls to build their future
This year we are launching The Girls Build Club! A weekly carpentry and construction club where local disadvantaged girls can learn skills and build confidence.
We are creating a specialised workshop space for them to feel at home and take on ambitious build projects as a team. We work with teens that may have a complex home life or additional learning needs, our club will be a haven to relax, have fun and become their most creative selves!
We will provide long-term support and mentoring and create meaningful routes to industry. We hope to inspire girls to consider careers in construction and architecture to help diversify this sector.
Over the past few years we have taken on small projects and we are now ready to set up a dedicated club where our girls can flourish.
We are building our workshop space this summer with hopes to kick off our club in September. If you want to help us make our dream a reality please get involved!
Volunteer days
Love the idea of building but have no experience or have skills and want to get stuck into a project…come and build with us!
We are running both community and corporate volunteer days so if you are an individual or part of a big team we will find the perfect day for you.
Volunteer days run from June and take place at our beloved SWAPA (Shakespeare Walk Adventure Playground) in Stoke Newington.
